REGISTRATION is now open!
what to expect:
This summer, we'll be studying the Old Testament book of Hosea. During our eight weeks together, you can expect to be edified and challenged in the study of God's Word with fellow sisters in Christ. After you register, you'll receive a detailed syllabus outlining the weekly readings and homework. You'll also be assigned to a small group and connected with your leader.
At each session, we will spend the first half of our time meeting in discussion groups to talk about what God's been teaching us. After a short break, we spend the second half of our time listening to a lecture from one of our DWITW teachers. Before you head out, your leader will go over the homework assigned for the following week. If you are a mama, please be sure to arrive 15 minutes early to drop your kids off in their classes.
Due to copyright policies, we will not be selling Hosea binders this year. Instead, every study participant will receive a downloadable PDF of the book of Hosea and the syllabus upon registration. You'll also receive a weekly email throughout the summer that includes audio recordings from both sessions, homework details, kids lessons and other helpful resources.
There is no cost to participate in the study. It is always our goal to offer our studies free of charge to ensure that as many women as possible can participate. While there is no cost for individual participants, our non-profit ministry does incur costs for the study overall. If you would like to donate toward our expenses, you can do so online or in person at each session with cash or check. Our largest expense is paying the kids workers each week who are not volunteers. We pay about $150-$220 to our group of workers weekly, putting the total childcare costs for the Hosea study between $1200-$1760. If we max out childcare again this year, that comes out to about $25 per child for our eight-week study.
If you are planning to join us from home, please register below to receive weekly emails and find out when our Hosea Companion Guide for home and small group study releases!
DWITW KIDS classes:
*ALL OF OUR KIDS CLASSES ARE CURRENTLY FULL. All additional children registered will be put onto our waitlist. Please continue with registration to be placed on the waitlist and we will contact you if we are able to open up space for your child. We do our best to accommodate everyone and open up as many spaces as we can, but we can't guarantee that all children will come off the waitlist.
Kids classes are available for children ages 0-12 at our Wednesday morning session. We are not providing Monday evening kids classes at this time. However, we are considering opening an evening kids class if the need is great. Please indicate in your registration below if you are interested in that option.
This year, our goal is for each class of children to have a consistent, dedicated teacher. All children will have play time, snack time and an age-appropriate bible lesson that will follow as closely as possible with the adult lesson in Hosea. If you would like to volunteer to be a kids teacher, please visit our Volunteer Registration page. We will have seven classrooms available this year: 0-12 months, 1 year olds, 2 year olds, 3 year olds, 4 year olds, 5 year olds and 6-12 year olds.
CHANGE FOR 2018: We will not be using Junior Volunteers this year (ages 9-12). All childcare workers must be 13 and older, and each classroom will have at least one adult over 18. If your child came as a junior volunteer last year, he or she is welcome to attend the study in our 6-12 year old classroom. If you or someone you know would like to serve as a childcare worker, please visit our Volunteer Registration page for more information.
If your child has food allergies or special needs we should be aware of, please let us know below when you register them. Please label any personal items that your child brings to class with a first and last name.
What to bring:
Please come prepared for study with your Bible, Hosea print-out, name tag (provided at first session), writing utensil and paper for note-taking.
If you've studied with us before, you know that we prefer working with a printed version of the text to facilitate note-taking. Your registration provides you with a PDF version of Hosea (34 pages, one-sided) and the syllabus. We highly encourage you to print out the PDF (or send to a print shop) and add it to a three-ring binder. We will be using this copy during our time together at each session. You will receive an email with links to download all your resources after you register.
