Today Amy Kelly joins us via Skype on the DWITW Podcast! Amy shares how she was ready to fully transition to living in Mexico, but God had another plan for her and her time. She reminds us that “His control is the best control,” and how God gives us everything we need to do what He is calling us to do. In our second chat with Amy, she is still located in Cancun, Mexico and has extended her time there. She shares of her struggle with identity, specifically in the things she does and checking off the boxes and relationships. From Amy’s testimony we see that God is at work in the mess.

Amy wants to live in a world where every child is known and loved, where Chick-Fil-A and Target exist in Mexico, and where the Chicago Cubs win the World Series every year. When she's not helping lead missions groups in Cancun, working on her Spanish, or teaching English classes, you can find her drinking coffee with friends, learning more about trauma competent care, and cheering on the Chicago Cubs from afar.

Her favorite Scripture is Lamentations 3:21-24: "Yet this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, "The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him."
