Last week on the podcast, Jillian and Mary Kay discussed mental health and how it can influence our relationship with God and His Word. Today, Bethany sits down with guest Lisa Callahan to continue the conversation about mental health and walking with the Lord. Lisa, a vibrant mom who shines for Jesus, opens up about her own struggles with mental health, specifically with anxiety and panic. She shares how she relates to specific people in God’s Word and the importance of reminding ourselves and others of His true character. We hope Lisa’s honesty and vulnerability is both a comfort and encouragement for you this week!

“My greatest fear and the worst thing that could happen to me cannot supersede what He already gave me. His act on the cross was showing me favor. And I needed someone to tell me that.”

Lisa wants to live in a world where we find much to laugh about. When she’s not being a mama to Gianna, you can find her enjoying alone time at Starbucks or finding something to organize!

Her favorite scripture is Psalm 121:1-8: “I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber.Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.”
