This week, Laura takes us through 2 Timothy 3:1-9, where Paul describes 28 specific sins. This weighty list arrests our attention and serves as a warning about sin that is able to destroy both our hearts and our Church. We are all burdened with sin, but there is good news: Jesus has already carried all sin for all time to the cross. Paul calls Timothy and us to look outward and be wary of false teachers, look inward and repent of our own sin, and look upward to remember that we know the one who carried our sin. We can be free of shame because of Jesus.

Laura Swain addresses how she handles confusing and challenging areas of God's Word. She reminds us that God can handle all our questions!

MEMORY VERSE AND RESPONSE QUESTIONS:

Each summer, we aim to memorize at least one passage from the book we are studying— our key verse. One way we memorize Scripture is through song. In this video, our friend Kelly Gwin sings this year’s key verse, 2 Timothy 2:1-2.

Week 3’s Response Questions (page 11 of your 2 Timothy Companion Guide) include comprehension, interpretation, and application. Natalie and Jillian explain how to approach these questions for your personal study this week!

looking forward to week 7, study of 2 TIMOTHY 3:10-4:5:
