On the final episode of season 5, Timelapse, our friend and sister Beverly Hicks joins us today to share from all her experience walking with the Lord. Bev shares about the influence of church on her life and living out her faith in every day life. She also tells of feeling and seeing the warmth and presence of God in daily life, even in taking out the trash! One thing she would encourage others with in all her experience is to be faithful to Christ.

Beverly wants to live in a world where we regard God's authority and love as supreme. She knows and proclaims that His creation is so vast and glorious. We are made in His image to worship and reflect His majesty in our lives. As Bev says, if we would get this right, all the other things would be okay. Meanwhile He gifts us with a bit of Himself, the Holy Spirit who guides us with His hand and voice through all the paths of our daily lives.

Beverly keeps herself busy and God keeps her happy.  At age 84, her life is slowing down. Still she is busy with taking care of the little "cottage" at 617, practicing piano most every day, gardening, reading, and some simple jewelry crafting. Though 3 of her children, Nancy, Patricia and John, live far away she keeps in contact with all by email and phone and loves when they and the "grands" come to visit.  Brenda and Pastor Rande Greene usually take her and his mother, Dreema Greene, out for Sunday dinner. To her, family is a great blessing and comfort.

Thanks be to God, you will find her at her church, Faith Christian Fellowship in Beavercreek, at most services enjoying worshiping and fellowship with saints. In her world, life is simple and she’s working on making it more simple.

She has a hard time picking a favorite verse, but here are two that are special to her right now:

"See what great love the Father has lavished on us"  "This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us."  1 John 3:1, 16, NIV

"Teach me thy way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain path. . ."  Psalm 27:11, KJV
