Hi, friend. It’s nice to meet you!
This short video will explain a bit about who we are.
At Dayton women in the word, our goal is to help women read their bibles.
We are a group of women from the Dayton area who love God’s Word and have experienced it’s life-changing power. Our great joy is to help other women experience that same power by giving them simple tools to make their Bible reading come alive. God tells us in Deuteronomy that his Word is not empty, it’s our very life, and we believe that whole-heartedly (Deut. 32:47).
Here are some of the ways that we help women read their bibles:
Each year, we host a city-wide, in-person Bible study for the women of Dayton. We typically offer a morning and evening session, with kids classes available in the mornings. We study straight from God’s Word, discuss in small groups and give women the opportunity to learn a variety of simple Bible study tools. To check out the resources from our past summer studies, visit our Summer Study page.
As our ministry has grown, we’ve seen a need for women to be equipped not only for personal Bible study, but for Bible teaching, as well. Our Teaching Collective is a place for women to learn more about how to prepare Bible teachings and practice in a safe place. The Collective gathers monthly to practice, give feedback and encourage each other. For more details, visit our Teaching Collective page.
Our podcast is the place where we share stories from everyday women in our community. It is such an encouragement to hear how faithful God is in the lives of our sisters! To listen, visit our Podcast page or find us on iTunes (or your podcast app of choice).
Bible Study Resources
We’ve got some practical helps on the website like our Bible Study Tools page (including some helpful PDFs), our DWITW 365 Reading Plan and our DiscipleHER Conference recordings (a conference we held in 2017 all about discipleship!). We also have all the resources and lectures posted from our past summer studies.
